Readers will recall from the last Spiel, that a number of our members recently had the good fortune to attend the Rennsport Reunion at Laguna Seca Raceway. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control, I was unable to commit to the timing of the Reunion event. It was not long before the Facebook posts, emails, texts, photos and videos were starting to fire back to NZ, and I would be lying if I said I was not wildly jealous of those in attendance!

I have done my pilgrimage to Zuffenhausen, Weissach, Leipzig, Gmund, the Grossglockner Pass and Zell am See and as I have mentioned in past articles the sheer size that the Porsche brand and manufacturing concern has become is of course a far cry from those early pioneering roots – roots that were indeed the very seed of what was to come.
