Grass Gymkhana and BBQ / Picnic
The grass gymkhana is now confirmed and even if you have already expressed your interest, we now require your registration and payment.
For those not familiar with the format, these events involve driving against a stop watch around a range of different cone configurations. The event is run on grass so its low speed, minimal risk and lots of fun. You can of course have multiple drivers for one car (although obviously not at the same time)
BYO BBQ / Picnic and Jarrod from Archibalds is putting up a prize or 2 for something along the lines of most dirty car, most original, or similar. He's yet to confirm the criteria but it will be something a little unusual.
You'll also compete for the club's coveted Gymkhana trophy for overall winner on the day. We'll also have prizes for winners of Fastest 2 Wheel Drive, Fastest 4 Wheel Drive, and Fastest Lady.
Cost: $20 per driver (covers MSNZ levy and prizes). Spectators free
Meeting and departure: Meet from 9.30 at Northwood Shopping Centre carpark outside (Esquires Cafe) for a 10am departure.
Bryan and Carol's Address: Goodwood Farm, 605 Mairaki Road, Fernside
Directions: If you miss the meeting time at Northwood, drive out of Rangiora towards Oxford on Oxford Road. Drive through Fernside. Approx 6km beyond Fernside, turn right onto Kennedy Hill Road. Drive carefully up the zig zag and look to Mairaki Rd on the right. Goodwood Farm is then first house on the right.
