Phil Jones couldn’t have known that a promise to himself to buy a Porsche to mark his 40th birthday would lead him down a rabbit hole that would have no end. Soon after his birthday, his promise to himself was fulfilled and he could be seen proudly driving about his home town of Wellington in a red 944S2. However, after a while he started wondering what all the fuss was about with these strange 911s. Curiosity got the better of him and a 964 cabriolet 911 soon replaced the 944 and the rabbit hole was looking intriguing. Spiralling further into the hole, the 964 was then replaced with a black 996 cabriolet. A major turning point in this saga was when Phil received an invitation to go to a Porsche World Roadshow event at Manfeild.
